Description

Start off by tracing the last stretch of the river Ter, calmly just like the river itself, reaching the mouth of the Ter where it flows into the Mediterranean Sea. Very near the mouth of the river you pass Friar Ramons's Pool where there is a viewpoint where you might see migrating birds if you are lucky.

Now we head towards the Platja Gran (big beach) in Estartit where we can have a swim if the weather permits. It's right next to the old fishing village of Estartit where today there is a tourist resort with all amenities. And now we will climb up Montgrí mountain, easy and effortless with the Burricleta, where we can contemplate spectacular views from a height, first of all of the Medes Islands and after crossing the mountain, a place you will always remember, Punta Milà.

You'll see that you are at the top of a completely vertical cliff, which will make your stomach turn. Don't forget to look at the cannon foundations installed by Franco's regime to protect itself from the allies right there. You will also be able to see Cala Montgó which is your next destination, and where, if you wish, you can also have a swim. This is the furthest point from the beginning, so we will start to retrace our steps behind the Montgri, passing through the endearing village of Sobrestany, then Ullà and Torroella, going through its best and most elegant streets.

A very full route, it's one that you can do in a day with your partner or friends and save it as one of your favourite memories.
