Description

We sail along the coast of the Cap de Creus Nature Park to reach Cadaqués, where we make a free-time stop of 2 hours to explore this supremely picturesque fishing village.

Cadaqués is outstanding for many reasons, one of them being the houses of local people who, having made their fortune in the Americas, returned home and built luxurious homes that still today contrast with the simplicity of the local houses.

At the start of tourism on the Costa Brava, local and foreign painters and writers flocked to Cadaqués attracted by its charm and the splendour of its geological landscape. Some even made their home here, like the world-renowned artist Salvador Dalí (born nearby in Figueres), who immortalised the town in many of his works and made it famous around the world.

On Monday mornings you can visit the weekly market.
